The Banavasi Madhukeshwara Temple, dedicated to Shiva, is an ancient Hindu shrine located in Banavasi, Karnataka, India, about 24 km (15 miles) from the nearby city of Sirsi. This historic temple was constructed in the 9th century by the Kadamba dynasty, which was the first kingdom of Kannada.
