Temple Description

The Papanatha Temple in Pattadakal, Karnataka, was constructed in 680 AD during the rule of the Chalukya dynasty, which erected numerous temples in the region between the 7th and 9th centuries. The Chalukyas of Badami, established by Pulakeshi I, are renowned for their significant impact on art and architecture, particularly through the creation of the structural temples at Pattadakal, Aihole, and Badami.
