Temple Description

Located just 300 meters from the Pattadakal Bus Stand and the entrance to the Temple Complex, the Kadasiddeshwara Temple is the first temple you’ll come across. This modest 8th-century shrine, built in the Nagara style, is elevated on a platform and features a sanctum and hall.

Despite its size, the temple is notable for its intricate details. The entrance is adorned with finely carved dwarapalakas (guardian figures), and the upper section of the outer wall showcases elaborate carvings of dwarf figures and birds. The sanctum’s outer wall is decorated with exquisite sculptures depicting Ardhanareeswara, Shiva, and Harihara, along with a detailed portrayal of Lord Shiva and Parvati.
