Temple Description
One of the two significant ancient Hindu temples that still stand in Haranhalli, Karnataka, India, is the Lakshminarasimha temple, also known as the Lakshmi Narasimha temple. It is a triple-shrine temple dedicated to Vishnu, and a few hundred meters east at Someshvara Temple in Haranhalli is a Shiva-focused temple. The two temples, which were finished in the 1230s by three affluent brothers named Peddanna Heggade, Sovanna, and Kesanna, have identical design concepts and elements and are examples of Hoysala architecture in the Vesara style.
In Karnataka state, India, Haranhalli, also known as Harnahalli, Haruvanahalli, or Hiriya Somanathapura in historical inscriptions, is situated approximately 35 kilometers (22 miles) from Halebidu and approximately 35 kilometers (22 miles) from Hassan city. NH 73 and SH 21 connect it to the Indian highway network. About 300 meters to the west of the Somesvara temple, in the direction of the village’s west center, is the Lakshminarasimha temple.
