The Kadambeshwara Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is situated in Rattihalli, a village in the Hirekerur taluk of Haveri district in Karnataka, India. Located approximately 26 km from Ranebennur, the temple features the primary deity known as Kadambeshwara in the form of a Lingam, with a Nandi placed opposite the Lord. The temple is adorned with sculptures, including lions and floral designs. Also referred to as Kadambeshvara Temple, it faces east and was originally constructed by the Kadambas in the 11th century, later coming under Chalukya influence. Initially a modest Shiva temple, it lacks extensive carvings. The structure includes three Garbhagrihas, three Antaralas that lead to a spacious Navaranga, and an open pillared Sabhamandapam. Notably, the temple’s interior features a beautifully carved, large inverted lotus on the roof. It lies 60 km from Haveri town, near the banks of the Kumadvati River and in proximity to the Veerabhadraswamy Temple in Rattihalli.
