One of the five temples under the Panchalingadarshana’s jurisdiction at Talakd once every twelve years is this one. The five temples, which are known as Sri Mudukuthore Mallikarjuneshwara, Sri Kshethra Vaideshwara, Sri Pathaleshwara, Sri Maruleshwara, and Sri Arakeshwara, are said to be Panchalingas. The pageant is held simultaneously at more than five Shiva temples. Plantain stalks and flowers are used to beautify the temples, and pilgrims who undertake Panchalinga Darshana offer their prayers to the deity. This event is unique in that the poojas at all five temples start at the same time, adhering to the custom of receiving blessings for both nation leaders and devotees.
