Temple Description

Founded in 1260 A.D. by Shri Soira Vittal Bhat, an astrologer, this shrine was established as a dedicated temple for Lord Vittal, with support from the local Jain King Savanth.

The main deities worshipped here include Shri Vittala, Shri Venkatraman, Shri Ugra Narasimha, and Shri Bindu Madhav (the procession deity). Shri Narasimha was installed by Shrimat Vijayeendra Tirth Swamiji, the founding preceptor of Shri Kashi Math Samsthan.
