The Mutt in the Subbarayanakere area of Mysore is renowned and is affiliated with the Nanjangud Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt, making it the oldest Mutt in the city. Sri Sushameendra Teertharu began his journey as Dharmadhikari (religious leader) here in his earlier life. To this day, countless disciples and devotees fondly remember the cherished moments spent receiving Teertha and Mantrakshate from his blessed hands.

In a delightful update for devotees, Sri Sushameendra Teertharu’s legacy has been recognized as a civil landmark in Mysore. The Mysore City Corporation has officially named a prominent intersection after him. The circle at the junction of N.S. Road and Veene Sheshanna Road is now called “Sri Sri Sushameendra Teertha Sripandagalavara Vrutta” (Sri Sushameendra Circle). The naming ceremony took place on March 23, 2011, at 7:30 AM, with City Mayor Sri Sandesh Swamy and other corporation members unveiling the honor. The event was also attended by Raja S. Rajagopalacharya, the personal secretary of Sri Swamiji.
